Staying abreast of the customer’s needs is everyone’s local challenge, but understanding the broader market is critical to knowing why people behave the way they do. How often have we heard that millennials aren’t interested in anything bricks and mortar, and that cycling is the new golf? This session takes us beyond the cliches and brings data and evidence to the table.

In an exclusive presentation, Jo-Ann Foo (Nielsen Sports, formerly Repucom) and Danny Bowerin (Golf Australia) will present key findings from Nielsen Sports' latest comprehensive research into the golf market in Australia (as commissioned by the Australian Golf Industry Council). Their findings will help delegates understand the different types of golf consumers, the size of these consumer markets and the opportunities that each present for driving growth.

Danny is a senior sports industry professional with almost a decade of marketing-related experience. Danny was recently appointed to the role of Marketing Director at Golf Australia, having worked closely with fellow panellist Jo-Ann Foo on the Australian Golf Industry Landscape research in his previous role at Repucom.

Jo-Ann is the Head of Research and Insights at Nielsen Sports where she designs, oversees and delivers research to enable clients within the sport, entertainment and leisure space.
