Our first Golf Facility Showcase is presented by Kim Ellis (for Moore Park Golf) and Matt Day (for Wembley Golf Course).

Kim is the Director and Chief Executive and Sydney’s Botanic Gardens & Centennial Parklands (including Moore Park Golf), the NSW agency managing Sydney’s most high profile public parks and botanic gardens. Hear from Kim on how (and why) Kim’s organisation has invested heavily in public golf. Find out how a huge stadium-style screen landed in the driving range outfield, and what they do with it to drive a different range experience. The extensive facilities and operations under Kim’s control are largely self-funding, and driving commercial outcomes is key to the success of the open spaces Kim manages.

Wembley Golf Course is a long-standing leader in public golf in Australia. Matt will take us through the investment strategy behind Wembley’s success, and how the Town of Cambridge has driven significant visitor numbers by funding extensive golf facilities. The numbers tell the story: 150,000+ rounds of golf and 11 million+ balls hit at the range each year, and an on-site retail shop as big as any off-course operator. We’ll also get a sneak peak into the next stage of Wembley’s story: hospitality and event spaces and a mini-golf facility.
