Public Golf Facilities Australia (PGFA) is a not-for-profit group formed in 2016. Its overarching purpose is to provide its members with direction for best-practice operations and to develop common strategies in order to generate greater participation in golf. The PGFA will sit within the Australian Golf Industry Council (AGIC) to have a voice and represent Public Golf in Australia.
The PGFA is made up of public access course owners, general managers, and management groups from all mainland states of Australia. Current PGFA member courses include Wembley Golf Complex, Moore Park Golf, North Adelaide Golf Course, Emerald Lakes Golf Course, Glen Waverley Golf Course, and Albert Park Driving Range among others.
The Group is seeking additional members from public access venues where pay for play golf is a significant component of their facility offer.
Anthony Lawrence (CEO, Clublinks) is one of the founding volunteers organising PGFA and will introduce PGFA and explain the benefits of membership.
