Parks & Leisure Australia is the peak industry association for professionals working in the Parks and Leisure sector in Australia, representing over 2,500 members. Through a broad range of services the association supports members to provide opportunities that strengthen communities through good use of leisure time for the social, environmental, economic and physical wellbeing of all Australians. Parks and Leisure Australia is 'THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE PLACES'.
The Australian Golf Industry Council (AGIC) was established in late 2006 to provide a forum to help unite the industry on agreed industry wide initiatives. In that time, the AGIC has operated as an unincorporated not for profit partnership between the key industry administrations and membership organisations, and in July 2009, the AGIC agreed to incorporate as an association.
The Society of Australian Golf Course Architects (SAGCA) was formed in 1989 by a group of Australian golf course architects with the like-minded purpose of forming a society of fellow professionals, with the intent to meet regularly to exchange ideas and experiences, encourage the highest standard of golf course design and construction, and further advancing the status of their golf course architecture.
The Australian Golf Course Superintendents' Association (AGCSA) was formed in 1981 to further the profession of golf course management in Australia and the Pacific Rim. Since that time the association has grown steadily in size and now boasts over 1,000 members from all states of Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Rim.
Formed in 1972, Australian Ladies Professional Golf (ALPG) is the sanctioning body for women's professional golf in Australia and New Zealand and is recognised globally, as one of the six major women's professional tours. The ALPG have a growing membership of 160 members and run the annual Pro-Am series known as Club Car Series, along with major events which typically attract leading players from around the world.
